Hot Stone Therapy

Hot stone massage is a specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones as an extension of their own hands. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help penetrate tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly. 

During a Hot Stone session, the therapist warms up the body with traditional massage strokes, and then incorporates the use heated stones in his/her hands while working certain muscles groups throughout the session. As the stone cools, the therapist replaces it with another. The therapist uses many stones of various shapes and sizes to achieve a deeper and more targeted massage.

At Thera-Touch, our hot stones are made of calcium carbonate and heated in an electronic heater up to 122°F. After each use, the stones are cleaned and sanitized.

Please speak up if the stones are too warm or the pressure too intense. At any time, you may ask for the use of stones to be removed and for the session to continue without them.
